The Senate Amendment (1/4/2021)
By Justice SayerQT, proposed by Congressman Ruben of Illinois.
Change the length of a senator's term from one week to three weeks. Since the president's term is two weeks long and a senator's term is 1.5x the president's in real life, this would correct a glaring flaw in the way the government is currently run. This proposal also has a second part: If a senator leaves or resigns in the middle of a term, the governor of their state will appoint a new senator with state legislature approval. This senator would then server normally until the next midterms. This too would match the real life process.
